Customs Notice 23-08 has been published outlining important changes regarding the manufacture and import of single-use plastic items. Current affected items include; checkout bags, cutlery, food service ware, stir sticks and straws (other than single-use plastic flexible straws). Effective June 20, 2023 – ring carriers will also be added to this list.
