Reminder: Your 2019 Imports/Manufacture of Products Containing Mercury Will Need To Be Reported in 2020
The Regulations came into force in 2015 and prohibit the import and manufacture of products containing mercury, or any of its compounds, with some exemptions for essential products, which have no technically or economically viable alternatives. Manufacturers and importers of exempted or permitted products are required to report to ECCC every three years via the online reporting system for the Regulations.

· A downloadable table in which you can start documenting your 2019 import and manufacture activities. You will be able to copy/paste the table into the online system later

RECORD KEEPING REQUIREMENTS
· Records and supporting documentation for every activity must be kept for a minimum of five years.
· Specific information, such as the product’s name, the quantity of mercury in each product, and date of manufacture or import, must be included in your records. For a complete list of the required information, please consult section 14 of the Regulations.
